Our view
Why we like the fund:
This is an index-tracking fund that invests in smaller-sized companies that are listed globally. Although smaller companies can be more volatile than larger companies, this fund is very well diversified, with approx. 4,000 companies held across many different developed markets. Vanguard has a strong index-tracking capability, and this fund is well priced.
How to use the fund:
For investors seeking to invest globally, who have a long-term horizon and are cost conscious, this fund represents a sensible choice. As smaller companies tend to be more volatile than their larger counterparts, this fund is on the riskier side of a portfolio.
