Director dealings: Nine Pure Gold board members buy shares

(Sharecast News) - Pure Gold Mining had a number of entries on the list of buys on Monday, after it disclosed purchases made by nine of its directors. The Canadian gold miner said director, president and chief executive officer Mark O'Dea bought eight million shares for 15 Canadian cents each, spending a total of CAD 709,933.60 (£450,707.22).

Directors Graeme Currie and Len Boggio, and vice-president of business development and chief financial officer Christopher Haubrich, respectively bought one million shares each for 15 Canadian cents, valuing each of those purchases at CAD 88,741.70.

Vice-president and mine general manager Bryan Wilson, as well as directors Robert Pease, Troy Fierro and Maryse Belanger picked up 666,666 shares apiece for the same 15-cent price, spending CAD 59,161.07 each.

Finally, vice-president of exploration and technical services Philip Smerchanski acquired 266,666 units in the company, at the same price of 15 Canadian cents each.

On the selling side of the ledger was Thor Explorations, after it reported that its chairman and CFO both carried out 'bed and ISA' transactions, selling some of their holdings into individual savings accounts (ISAs).

The company said non-executive chairman Adrian Coates sold 110,925 shares into his ISA, and CFO Ben Hodges did the same with 110,926 of his share holding.

Thor said the pair's respective beneficial holdings in the company remained unchanged, with Coates having an interest in 1,350,000 shares representing 0.21% of its total issued capital, and Hodges having an interest in 460,000 shares, representing 0.07%.
